Diffusive transport in the lowest Landau level of disordered 2d semimetals: the mean-square-displacement approach

We study the electronic transport in lowest Landau level of disordered two-dimensional semimetals placed a homogeneous perpendicular magnetic field. The material system is modeled by Bernevig-Hughes-Zhang Hamiltonian, which has zero energy modes due to material's intrinsic Berry curvature. These turn out be crucially important for density states and static conductivity system. develop an analytical approach diffusion based on self-consistent equation motion mean squared displacement. obtained value mode close Dirac electrons without fields, have points spectrum as well. Our analysis applicable broader context electron gases strong fields.
